I'm always scouring the internet for coupon codes when I'm making a purchase online. It's a relatively easy way to sometimes save a lot of money. The problem has always been, though, sifting through all of the expired coupon codes until finding one that actually works. Fortunately, I stumbled on a site that attempts to solve the problem of finding and evaluating the quality of coupon codes: RetailMeNot.

Launched by the people who made the ultra-popular, anti-registration Firefox extension BugMeNot, RetailMeNot keeps coupon codes organized by store, and it has a very important evaluation system. You can see the percentage of people who have had success with each code as well as comments. Using Firefox over Internet Explorer is a no-brainer. It's safer, stabler, isn't stifled by Microsoft's hold on the world, and it just does cool stuff. The amount of customization and extensions is astounding. I don't have to tell you how open-source technology breeds real innovation. Anything you could possibly want a browser to do is probably already created as an extension. Want to download YouTube videos to your computer? Just install Video DownloadHelper. Maybe you really can't get used to a browser that looks different than IE7. No problem. Just install the Vista-aero theme and pretend you're using Internet Explorer, only a thousand times better.  read more »
